Cloud Connect

Cloud Connect is the simplest and most secure solution designed to connect your on-premises equipment to cloud servers on the Skyone platform. The tool represents an evolution in secure connectivity solutions available in the market, ensuring ease of use and efficient management.

How Can Cloud Connect Help?

The solution was designed with several features focused on security, control, and ease of deployment:

  • Certificate-Based Secure Access: The system eliminates the traditional use of usernames and passwords. Instead, it uses certificate-based access tied to each connection, actively preventing credential leaks.

  • Simplified Installation: Installation can be easily performed by partners using an executable file. Note: The solution was developed to run exclusively in Windows environments (Windows 10, Windows 11, or Windows Server) and does not support or operate on Mac or Linux systems.

  • Real-Time Governance and Management: Cloud Connect adds a robust governance and control layer to your VPN. Through a management panel, administrators have real-time visibility into connections and can instantly block or remove them with a single click, in a simple and secure way.

  • Detailed Visibility: The platform provides detailed connection data (including Public IP and Private IP) and allows administrators to identify the specific device where the client was installed.

  • License Management: It is possible to define the number of licenses allocated to each connection.

  • Skyone Quality and Support: The tool benefits from Skyone’s robust security standards and quality, while also offering 24/7 support for connectivity issues, with ticket management handled directly through the Skyone Portal.

How Does the Architecture Work?

The Cloud Connect architecture is straightforward: a client (agent) is installed on the customer’s device. This device then establishes a secure connection to the servers and databases hosted on Skyone. All communication and hosting infrastructure is protected under Skyone’s cybersecurity framework, which performs 24/7 monitoring.

Points of Attention (Troubleshooting)

If issues occur or the connection stops working, the documentation highlights the most common scenarios to check first:

  • The connection may have been intentionally blocked by the administrator in the management panel.

  • The destination server or the PFsense server may be inaccessible or experiencing instability.

  • Attempted installation on incompatible operating systems, such as Mac or Linux.
